Who we are
WordTwist is made by Xip Kit LLC, a Michigan company (“we”). This policy covers the WordTwist app for iPhone and this website.
What we collect
Nothing that identifies you. WordTwist has no accounts. The app contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking code, and we do not collect, sell, or share personal information.
What stays on your device
Your progress, streak, rating, settings, and the name you type on the You tab are saved in the app's storage on your device. We never receive them. They can be included in your own iCloud or computer backups, which Apple manages.
Puzzle downloads
To bring you new worlds and daily puzzles without an app update, WordTwist downloads puzzle packs from our server, which runs on Cloudflare. These requests contain no personal information and no device identifier. Like any internet request, they show your IP address to the server so it can reply. We do not use it to identify or track you. Cloudflare processes it under its own privacy policy.
Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Apple. We never receive your name, email address, or payment details. Apple tells the app which items you own so it can unlock them. Apple's privacy policy applies to those transactions.
This website
This website uses no cookies, analytics, or trackers, and its fonts and images are served from this site. The trailer is hosted on YouTube. It loads only when you press play, in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. After that, Google's privacy policy applies.
Children
WordTwist is for all ages. We do not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Your choices
We hold no data about you, so there is nothing for us to look up, correct, or delete. You control what is on your device: tap Reset under Progress on the You tab, or delete the app.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. If the app ever starts to collect data, we will say so here and in its App Store privacy details before that version ships.
